ANGEL #38 VARIANT

...sto ancora lavorando con la carta grigia, utilizando poi simboli grafici sullo sfondo.
Devo lavorare maggiormente in questa direzione, magari facendo qualche disegno dal vero...

...still working on gray paper, with graphic symbols on the background.
I 've to work more on that way, maybe with some life drawing...

ANGEL #37 VARIANT

...ho fatto questa cover con una differente tecnica di lavorazione.
Ho realizzato il disegno su carta grigia con pennello e pennarelli.
Poi ho modellato le luci con una matita bianca e acrilico.
Dopodichè ho colorato tutto con photoshop sul mio nuovo iMAC.

...devo affinare la tecnica, mi sono decisamente divertito!



...I've done this cover with a different method:
I ve done the drawing on gray paper, inked with brush and pens.
Then I've done the light spots with white pencil and acrylic,
and colored everithing with photoshop on my new iMAC.

...I've to improve this method, was really funny!

Un sacco di cose da gestire, raffreddori, problemi, lavori, Natale...

sketches, e (presto spero) novità riguardo 2 GROSSI progetti TOP SECRET in cui sono coinvolto...

Since I was at work on both STAR TREK:NERO and STAR TREK: SPOCK REFLECTIONS at the same time of this issue
I worked on it with the art assistant by EMANUELA LUPACCHINO and the inks of GAETANO CARLUCCI (who will work with me on all
the series).

SMILE TIME

...mentre procedo a grandi passi verso la fine di questa miniserie di STAR TREK:MIRROR IMAGES, già ho la testa persa nei miei prossimi progetti...
Uno è un progetto ancora TOP SECRET, ma davvero tanto, tanto, tanto TOP SECRET (non immaginate la quantità di NDA che ho dovuto firmare prima anche solo di poterne parlare con i diretti interessati!!!)
L'altro (già in parte annunciato da CHRIS RYALL) è legato a un episodio della quinta stagione di Angel: SMILE TIME, molto amato dai fans.
Non posso dire ancora di cosa si tratta esattamente, ma ne approfitto per postare le varie fasi di lavorazione della cover.

FIRST NIGHT:SPIKE

Dato che la storia è stata pubblicata qualche mese fa, posso finalmente postare qualche tavola.
Questa storia breve di Spike che fa da prequel ufficiale alla miniserie SPIKE: AFTER THE FALL di BRIAN LYNCH
e FRANCO URRU era una storia che tenevo troppo a disegnare (è stato inoltre la mia prima
collaborazione con BRIAN), ho accettato di realizzarla anche se al momento ero già
al lavoro sul terzo episodio di STAR TREK:INTELLIGENCE GATHERING e il raccconto di WIDE AWAKE per POPGUN!!!
Non ce l'avrei mai fatta da solo, e infatti le chine sono di ELENA CASAGRANDE mentre i colori sono della sempre straordinaria ILARIA TRAVERSI.
